As an individual, I tend to naturally stick out in a crowd. Perhaps it's my thirst for leadership, perfection, and excellence - maybe my Harvard & Cambridge degrees - if not my 6' 4" stature. That is at least what attracted my first coach to chase me and my father down in a supermarket and invite me to try rowing, because I was destined for success. And, well, after earning 3 Olympic Medals, 2 of them Gold stroking the women's 8+ in the Athens 2008 & London 2012 Olympic Games for Team USA, I think he was right. I've taken my skills in the boat and leading a team of premier athletes to coaching professionals and business leaders globally teaching them techniques I continue to practice daily for my successes - after all, in rowing, you do lead facing backwards. In my free time I enjoy travel, cross-country cycling, kayaking and still get myself into a scull from time to time. I live in the Greater Boston area and work as an attorney.
